The Cottage Manager is responsible for the delivery of all cottage services for assigned residents.
They ensure residents receive services within a program defined by Carson Valley Children's Aid, as required by regulatory mandates and best practices, reflecting individual treatment and service plan needs.
In conjunction with Campus Leadership, the Cottage Manager is responsible for coordinating day-to-day functioning of cottage operations and programming.
They lead staff in the provision of services to residents and ensure that staff meet their assigned duties as required by agency policy.
Requirements:
Must meet ONE of the following:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3
years of relevant experience, preferably in a residential treatment setting Associate's degree and 8
years of experience Valid driver's license, daily access to a vehicle, and car insurance required Must be able to work flexible hours as needed including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability to work well under pressure and work collaboratively with other team members Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
) Comprehensive understanding of relevant licensing requirements for Community Behavioral Health (CBH), Magellan Healthcare, Community Umbrella Agencies (CUA), and Department of Human Services (DHS) Essential Job Functions:

Maintain a physically and emotionally safe group living environment for all residents.
Ensure that resident needs are a priority among cottage staff and that activities and services are delivered in a consistent, accessible, and timely manner.
Ensure that all residents and staff meet fire, health, and safety requirements.
Complete all required documentation in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate and advocate for resident needs.
Assist with orientation, supervision, training, development, and evaluation of cottage staff.
Provide learning and advancement opportunities for team members.
Track and submit timecards for cottage staff.
Account for physical property and status of all areas within the cottage.
Consistently communicate and implement approved cottage policies and procedures.
Meet with other agency program staff to ensure cooperation with, participation in, and support for efforts made on behalf of residents.
Meet regularly with cottage staff members, individually and as a team, according to the campus supervision policy.
Meet weekly with the Director of Residential Services for communication, direction, and supervision.
Provide ongoing assessment, review, alteration, and modification of program services and communicate all changes in writing.
Ensure that all personnel are informed, trained, and held accountable for required documentation including mandated resident documentation, agency reports, and collaboration with other program areas.
Assure continued compliance with and successful evaluations by external licensing and monitoring agencies.
Develop new policies and procedures as needed and secure approval.
Serve on agency Focus Teams as assigned.
Ensure agency compliance with all requirements of the concurrent review process.
Assure availability and maintenance of quality staff.
Recommend to the Director of Residential Services when action affecting employment status is required and do so in accordance with agency personnel practices.
Participate in the development of the annual residential program budget and ensure compliance with all fiscal requirements for team members and residents.
Ensure that program operations remain within budget and remediate when necessary.
Ensure that staff members are paid in a timely manner, consistent with agency overtime and time management mandates.
Participates in program evaluation, reviews, and revisions.
Recommend changes, additions, and deletions based on each child's and family's service needs and available resources.
